Dawn has over 30 years experience as an Architectural Technician working for a variety of Architectural Practices both in South Africa and the United Kingdom. This background has given her exposure to many different Building Sectors including Commercial, Industrial, Residential, Retail, Educational and Sports Facilities.
Prior to 2012 Dawn worked in the Residential Sector focusing on New Build Affordable Housing which included Social Housing, Sheltered Accommodation and Dwellings for People with Disabilities.
After the formation of DAS in 2012 the Company has specialised in Disabled Adaptions with over 100 successful adaptations to date in Educational Facilities, Social and Private Housing Sectors.
During this period DAS has also been involved in various other Projects including Barn Roof Renovation, Residential Alterations, Additions and Extensions, Planning Permission and Building Regulation Approvals and small scale Building Project Management.
As a result of having to meet the current Environmental Standards to construct to Sustainable Design and reduce the Carbon Footprint of Buildings, Dawn has experience in many different Methods of Construction and she can provide working drawings that meet all this criteria whilst accurately reflecting the initial conceptual design.
